Racing Rocks- Ridiculous

Something new!  Maybe new to you, too.

racing rocks

Racing Rocks across the Death Valley?  No one sees them move.  Must be a very strong wind that moves large rocks.  But scientist, Paula Messina, says not:  “It is a combination of the changes in the surface and the wind, rain and bacteria that moves them.”

She’s made it her lifes study, but has never seen one move.

Paula says:

“Part of the lure of this place is its mystery. It’s fine with me if it remains that way.”

I’d be inclined to set up camp if I was that besotted with these rocks, and WAIT!

  1. Charlotte says:

She must have rocks in her head, to limit her life, and deprive herself of all the beauty that creation has to offer !!

  2. Karen S. says:

How cool is that! The rest of the picture? I love a great mystery, well gosh gee whiz any kind of mystery….and how ever cool is this, either in discovering the whole photo or you are just too good with photoshopping! Excellent work here !!!!

  3. Cyndi Pride says:

I was intrigued by the rocks, myself. It is so strange that there is evidence that they have moved… but no one has ever seen one move. Looking at the terrain, I’m not sure I’d want to stay out there long – at least not in the summer!

  4. Colline says:

    This is interesting Liz.

  5. Oooh.

    I like it!

    X definitely marks the spot!

This was such a neat prompt.

I was sorry a family issue came up and I didn’t get to write for it!
